J-QUARTZ: PERFORMANCE AND ENHANCED SAFETY
Falls from height and on the same level are among the main risks and account for nearly one third of workplace accidents, after manual handling.A fall from height can occur during machine maintenance in industry, on scaffolding in construction, or simply when climbing a ladder, or even on a stepladder.
Slips, trips, missteps, loss of balance on a flat surface… same-level falls happen on a flat or inclined surface, on a sidewalk or a step. In half of the cases, same-level falls are caused by floor conditions, notably defects (holes, curb edges, steps, ice, spilled oil…).
Each year, 150,000 workplace accidents are related to a fall.
The average duration of work stoppages is 58 days, and in the case of a fall it rises to 80 days (excluding construction).

The sole of the J-Quartz safety shoes features a heel with a double notch that “locks” the foot like a wedge to prevent slipping, offering better grip on ladder rungs, stepladders, roof structures, scaffolding, etc.…

LG STANDARD (LADDER GRIP) DOUBLE-STEP HEEL: Better grip on ladder rungs, stepladders, frames, scaffolding: The sole of the J-Quartz safety shoes has been designed with a double step heel that "locks" the foot like a wedge to prevent slipping. It reduces the risk of falls from height in industrial, logistics, or construction environments. Certified LG (arch area of 35 mm and transverse lugs at least 1.5 mm deep), this double-step heel prevents the risk of same-level and height falls, responsible for 1/3 of workplace accidents.
200 J TOE CAP - TYPE B: Ultra resistant to shocks and compression, the bi-material composite Xetane B toe cap increases safety and reduces the risk of toe injuries thanks to its increased safety height to a minimum of 25 mm (compared to 21 mm with the previous toe cap). This improvement makes it easier to remove the foot in case of impact or crushing.
ANTI-PUNCTURE SMALL POINT (S) TYPE: Superior protection against the sharpest objects, such as thin nails or metal splinters with a diameter of 3 mm. Unlike standard protections, it anticipates real field risks, even on the most complex worksites, for increased safety and a considerable reduction in the risk of foot injuries from small-diameter objects.
ESD & 0% METAL: The ESD shoes are electrostatic and dissipative; they protect electronic devices against electrostatic discharge phenomena.
The 0% Metal shoes are made exclusively of non‑metallic materials; they are therefore particularly recommended to avoid triggering security gates or metal detectors.
